Third Degree Films is an American pornographic film studio. The studios Zero Tolerance Entertainment and Black Ice are sister companies of Third Degree Films.[2][3] The studio's films are generally classed as Gonzo pornography.[4]

History

The company was founded in 2002 by Joey Wilson.[2] In 2006, the company filed a lawsuit against AdultsAllowed.com, seeking more than $15 million in damages for copyright infringement.[5] In 2006 the company started included a bonus Spanish language track on all its DVDs, in an attempt to tap in to the increasingly important Spanish speaking demographic in the US and Latin America.[6] In 2007, the company signed a deal with Hustler TV to provide its content on the channel in North and South America.[2] In 2008, ZT brought a lawsuit against DVD rental site Movixo Inc., alleging DVD piracy. The case was settled out of court for $15 million.[7] In 2009 the Film The Cougar Club[8] directed by Miles Long® won an AVN Award for Best MILF Release setting the bar for films of that genre.

Actresses

Actress Courtney Cummz has an exclusive contract with ZT, and also directs films for the company.[9][10] Cummz was the first ZT contract girl.[11] In 2008, the company signed a six-film deal with Amber Lynn.[12] This culminated in an appearance in the best selling and AVN Award winning series The Cougar Club, directed by AVN Award winning director, Miles Long®[13] . Alektra Blue was a spokeswoman for Third Degree Films, before she became a Wicked Pictures contract star.[14]
